Why do you need to do a trailer service? Although trailers do not have 'engines' to go wrong, it is essential to remember that they are road going vehicles, and therefore should have a regular trailer service to ensure they are always 'road safe' and not going to let you down. The important thing about servicing is that it is systematic and regular. To keep your trailer in tip-top condition, increase its lifespan and residual value, we recommend that arrange a trailer service every 6 months or 6000 miles. Undetected faults caused by lack of proper servicing are the major cause of breakdown or accidents involving trailers. Faulty lights, brakes and worn tyres being the most common.
